+ ellen määttä is a swedish designer, developer and beadworker based in london. working primarily within e-commerce and digital design, she spends her
day-to-day building the website, organising information and improving online experiences at house of hackney. away from the screen, she creates handwoven bead loom jewellery, playing with colour combinations and graphic pattern. moving between digital and physical forms of making, she is interested in repetition and how the logic of the screen can be translated into handmade objects. she graduated with a bsc in interaction design
and is currently occupied with writing code, stacking beads, visual research, internet ephemera and various ongoing projects.
